l        A Corporation, a manufacturer of aircraft seats and other products, wished to acquire a U.S. corporation which held a U.S. license for aircraft maintenance in order to exploit the U.S. market.  The corporation, inexperienced in M & A of a foreign corporation, retained our services to complete the acquisition within a limited time allowance and for a reasonable fee.  We, in collaboration with a liaison firm in the U.S. concluded the acquisition within the allotted time and budget limitations.

l        B Corporation, a Japanese brewer of beer, wished to retreat from Hong Kong by selling a beer restaurant there which had turned out to be unprofitable.  Asked by the client, we visited Hong Kong and succeeded in disposing the restaurant for a satisfactory amount of consideration after a tough negotiation with a Hong Kong lawyer representing the wealthy Chinese merchant.

l        C bank, one of the national banks, sponsored a department store which had filed to begin rehabilitation proceedings.  The bank requested us to negotiate with landlords and to take legal steps, if necessary, in an attempt to decrease the amount of rent paid by two of the stores, because the rents had been unreasonably high.  In compliance with the bank's request, we pursued law suits resulting in the lowering of the rents at the two stores to our client's satisfaction.
